So on 12/12/12, I launched, Sunspots, exclusively for the Kindle. I did that because I wanted to take advantage of KDP Select. That program puts the book in Amazon’s lending library and also lets you give away the book for five days in a 90-day period. So right now the book is being given away. So far the downloads are not making my head spin and maybe it’s because this program has been around awhile now and readers are wary of downloading garbage. My first novel, Walking with Elephants, got 2000 downloads. I thought wow, and rubbed my hands with glee expecting all the positive reviews. Guess what! No. Not much. So I think people download and then delete without reading. So let’s hope this much smaller group actually reads Sunspots.
Anyway, I asked a few readers who loved WWE, to read early and write reviews and guess what? They loved, Sunspots, even more!!! So here I sit hoping this book will finally get a large readership. I know it’s good, great even and a page turner, as a reviewer said, even on the Kindle.
AND, I went to see a psychic. Paid good money. And he said that this story will sell!!!!! Imagine, a psychic told me something I really wanted to hear. That’s good, right? And honest, and true? Well, …he guessed I was a writer sort of.
But I’m going to believe him, ’cause no harm done. And it gets me out of bed in the morning to check my sales rankings.
