Simply put, Kindle Press didn’t select my book. I thought my book had a shot because personally, I think it’s quite good. But no, uh, uh no. Didn’t happen. The campaign process seems a little dishonest, though. There was a book that was hot and trending for the entire month that didn’t make it, and books that were in my batch that seemed to get an offer before the campaign ended. So, I can wallow in sorrow, think I’m a loser, and remain perplexed why my work remains in the sidelines of publishing, or I can put on my big girl panties, brush myself off and remain true to myself and my abilities as an excellent storyteller. But no. first I have to wallow and feel bad, doubt myself, doubt my work, and hate everybody in publishing. That lasted for about a day.
Now, I’m back to square one, sending out queries. Gonna give it one more shot. While I’m doing that I’m preparing my print book and feeling good to be alive. Loving my life, feeling lucky that I can publish the book by myself. I CAN DO IT!!! To hell with writing being a career. It’s a great hobby. A legacy for my future progeny. “Great, great, great Grandma wrote a book! I wanna read it!” Also, the Kindle Campaign Scouts will send out an alert to all who nominated my book once I publish it on Amazon. Who knows, might get some sales right off the bat.
Well, putting things in perspective, I’m not the only one feeling disappointed right now. I’m sure Hilary is feeling disappointment on an epic level, along with all the sane population like me. Her loss has unleashed a bizarre personality onto the world stage and he is one scary dude. He is vulgar saying shit and fuck at rallies besides being extremely inarticulate and he’s a con that the sheep public fell for because of his reality show. The establishment had it in for Hilary, we can’t have her, anything but her, anyone but her. And let’s get the FBI to muddy the waters at the last minute, give her credibility a kick in the ass. A women who spent her adult life working to helping disadvantaged children, helping women all over the world to have a voice. While she was doing this, Trump was running around grabbing women’s pussies, violating strangers because he thought he could get away with it, cheating on his wives, stiffing his contractors, praying on the poor with promises for great wealth after attending Trump U which should really have been called FU.
So now the establishment have their man. An orangutan who uses Twitter as a platform for his foreign policy agenda, to attack his detractors, and show the world what a moron he is. He has grossly diminished the dignity of the office. I hope the GOP is happy that the world is laughing at this abomination being our president. He has stocked his cabinet with foxes to watch the hen house. Oil company lobbyist to protect our environment. Anybody wonder why there are so many generals in the cabinet? Are we in the USA going to witness a military coup of our democracy making Trump our dictator? God help us!
